Ralph Burroughs

Ralph Burroughs married Margaret (?) on 2 September 1652 at Wilmington, Sussex, England.
Margaret was a widow when she married Ralph BURROUGHS in 1652 and BARNEDEN was her married name. The 1662 Hearth Tax assessment mentions a William BARNDEN in Wilmington, probably a brother of Margaret's first husband. Also mentioned is Sam BARNDEN in Litlington. The list of East Sussex contributors to the relief of Irish Protestants in 1642 includes a John BARNDEN in Litlington who donated four pence.
The East Blatchington parish records indicated that Ralph Burroughs and family were at Bishopstone at one time. Details from the parish records are:
1.11.1653 bap. Ralph, son of Ralph Burrows
18.4.1655 bap. Addam, son of Ralphe Burrows
11.6.1657 bap. William, son of Ralph Burrows

There were no Burrows before 1653 in East Blatchington but there may be more baptisms and burials after 1669.
The Sussex Hearth Tax Assessment 1662 lists Ralph Burrowes in East Blatchington with one hearth.
